Once inhabited by the Ancient Mayans and considered a sacred place dedicated to the goddess Ixchel, Isla Mujeres is a tropical paradise with a Caribbean Island Vibe located just minutes by ferry from Cancun. Only four miles long makes it easy to explore the entire island from the famous beaches of the North end to the breathtaking views of Punta Sur. (North Beach Ranked in the top 10 beaches of the world by Trip Advisors 2019 Travelers Choice Awards)
There are plenty of restaurants, bars and beach clubs to check out where you can expect to find a wide variety of local cuisine including fresh Caribbean lobster, ceviche and of course mouth-watering tacos. The island also offers an array of water activities such as world class scuba diving, snorkeling and sailing to name a few. The narrow streets of downtown make for great souvenir shopping and site seeing as well. Immerse yourself into the culture and soak it all in.
With near perfect weather year-round and vast ocean views on all sides we personally love the overall feel of Isla Mujeres. Its easy to get to and full of fun things to do day and night. We feel everyone will enjoy this little slice of tropical paradise as much as we do. Start planning your epic island vaca today!

THE RIVIERA MAYA
Just about 15 miles south of Cancun lies the quaint village of Puerto Morelos with coral reef hugging the coast and vast jungle sprawling in all directions. Because of the protected mangroves and limited building restrictions Puerto Morelos maintains a more rustic and natural feel. The small beachfront town has restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and a main central square great for hanging out in and soaking up some local culture.
Located only 20 minutes south of the Cancun International Airport makes this destination even more attractive. Aside from the beachfront town a small road runs directly back into the jungle called “La Ruta De Las Cenotes” or the road to the sink holes. Here you can access and swim in the various cenotes or natural sink holes that have formed here over time and enjoy their natural beauty. Eco parks and nature reserves can also be found in this area. Bird watchers and nature lovers will absolutely love this part of the Rivieras Maya.
We live in Cancun and often escape to Puerto Morelos for ocean and jungle adventures. Nature is a bound and there are lots of fun activities to do for couples, friends and families. We highly recommend you plan your own escape soon to this unique jungle destination.
Nestled between Playa del Carmen and Tulum in the Heart of the Riviera Maya exists a small, gated community perfectly suited for family vacations called Puerto Aventuras. Well known as a safe town located directly on the Caribbean Sea and surrounded by the various channels of the fishing marinas.
This place offers a tremendous amount of activities and a nice array of restaurants and small shops. Snorkeling, Sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing are just a few of the fun things to do during the day as well as taking a stroll through the quaint downtown area at night. More amazing nightlife options are close by in Playa and Tulum. Night Life in Puerto Aventuras is typically quiet and relaxed.
We personally love the feel of Puerto Aventuras and we vacation here a few times a year. The laid-back vibe is contagious, and the reef protected cove is great for ocean activities. For couples, families and ocean enthusiasts it’s a fantastic vacation destination.
Once thought of as a small fishing village with large Mayan Ruins looming over the vast blue ocean, Tulum has become a world-famous super Eco - Chic vacation destination with an organic feel. The small hotel zone located directly on the beach has building restrictions that limit hotels to a few stories and natural building materials which creates that Tulum Vibe. If you haven’t been to Tulum, we suggest you add it to your travel destination list.
Located 1.5 hours south of Cancun by car makes Tulum easily accessible. The area is mainly surrounded by jungle and ocean with natural beauty abound. Explore Mayan Ruins, cenotes and hidden lagoons or walk the palm tree lined beaches for hours until you reach the Sian Kaan Biosphere Nature Reserve. You can have a fine dining experience on the beach from your private chef or enjoy a meal at one of the many top-notch restaurants such as Rosa Negra, Bak or Taboo. Take a bike ride through the downtown to look for tacos, street vendors and local markets.
Tulum really has a lot to offer and feels like a true getaway. Contact us if you like the idea of strolling out of your own private villa to bask in the sun and sip a cold mojito in this unique beach destination.
